Day-by-Day Itinerary
Gondar to Sankaber Camp via Debark
Drive north from Gondar to Debark park headquarters to finalize permits. Continue to Sankaber Camp (3,250m) for your first evening overlooking the escarpment.
Sankaber to Geech Camp via Jinbar Waterfall
Trek across alpine meadows, descending toward the spectacular Jinbar Waterfall before climbing up to Geech Camp (3,600m) surrounded by giant lobelia forests.
Geech to Imet Gogo Summit & Chennek
Hike to the breathtaking viewpoint of Imet Gogo (3,926m) for 360-degree panoramic views of volcanic gorges. Descend to Chennek camp, prime territory for gelada baboons.
Chennek to Buahit Peak & Return
Ascend Mount Buahit (4,430m), the second-highest peak in the Simiens. Scan the rocky crags for the rare Ethiopian wolf before returning to Chennek.
Return Drive to Gondar
Morning transfer back to Gondar via Debark. Connect with your onward travel arrangements.
